The Business - April 2004

A great deal of visible progress happened during April.

The road is paved!!!!

This may not seem like much, but now we can get power and water, not to mention having to worry about the mud hole at the bottom every time it rained.

We had a "frog choker" between the laying of the base and the scheduled paving, so we had to wait a few days for it to dry out - but finally we were able to say "let the paving begin"

And this is the finished road (actually almost finished - we have to come back in a year and put on a top coat)

How quickly we forget - the same shot a few months ago....

Building A being framed.....

Building A with insulation and interior panels...

Building B ready for concrete....

Building C being framed.....

Building C framed....

Footings being dug for Building E

Building E slab being poured....

Building J wall rebar in place....

Building J forms in place for the wall.....

Concrete being pumped in to the wall forms....

Somebody "gave" us a used driveway - of course they dumped it in our road...one of the contractors moved it out of the road, but I had to move it off the right of way so the power company will lay lines.  (Know I know how the folks in the Tennessee Valley felt).  This isn't "heavy yellow equipment", but I figured I would start with "light white equipment" for my debut.  I actually operated some medium yellow equipment later in the day, but Becki had gone home with the camera.

.......Buildings A, B, and C are ready for exterior panels.   The slab for J has been poured, and E has been framed and roofed.  As soon as I can get a mason to build the wall separating the office for the rest of "A", A can be framed and we can start building out the office.

A lot done, a lot left to be done, but things are happening!!!!
