Final grading is almost done. This is where the bi-level building will be.

This looking out from where the back of the building will be:

To get perspective, this is the mound to the right in the above picture:

An unbelievable amount of dirt has been removed (at no expense to us!!!)
As final grading progressed, the contractor piled the excess dirt to the side. This is one of the piles.

The deal was - if he needed it or could find a home for it, it would be removed at no expense. When the time came that I needed it moved, I would have to pay to haul it off.

Loaders and the back end of dump trucks have never been so beautiful.
The pile is almost totally gone!!!
UPDATE - March 18 -
The pile is gone!!!!!

This is where the "water quality" pond will be. All rain water from the site will go in to a pond, it will filter through gravel and sand and then go in to the infamous creek.

The creek:

This is the same angle as above, with the pond walls in place.

The pipe for the storm drain (that goes to the pond, that goes to the creek)

The concrete forms for the drains:

The pipes and forms have been buried. When the paving is done, it will be even with the top of the iron grid. The tractor trailor is the first load of steel (delivery taken to avoid price increase)

Where the wall will be - the little red flag marks the creek boundary in to which no man (or wall or dirt) can go.

The beginnings of the footer:

A machine can only do so much:

The concrete being poured for the walls:

On Friday the 5th at 8:15am there were 20 vehicles and lots of folks at the site. That was the most at any one time so far.....
The wall is "curing"

The next step is to backfill this slope and finish final grading. As soon as we get the building permit, we can begin the foundations.
