July 28, 2003: Today we posted the permit allowing the workers to begin clearing the land. What a momentous day - we've been waiting to do this for a long time! It's taken us a year to get to this point.

Anson preparing to post the permit from the county.

That little green piece of paper is worth it's weight in gold.

Where the road ends is where our site begins. Our actual lot is behind the trees, above.

This is the view from the current end of the road looking towards Bethelview Road. 26,000 cars a day :)

Anson preparing the camera for our big shot!

Me, Anson and our long awaited-for permit!

The workers have already laid a temporary culvert across our creeks and the road winds around to the left and then back behind the trees to our lot.

This is it! Future home of ABF Self Storage!

Is that me or Aunt Betty?

This is creek no. 1, below, which Anson and I have christened the "Red Sea", because it's been just about that difficult to cross. Folks, this is one of your State waterways - protected by the full power and authority of the Federal Government. In order to cross this little stream, we must have the permission of the United States Corp of Engineers.

This is creek no. 2, known as the Jordan River, because once you get past here, you're into the Promised Land!
